Reduced ENFIA 2026: Applications for insured homes have begun

The submission of applications for ENFIA reduction for insured homes has begun, for 2026. Specifically, the reconstruction value is set at €900 per square meter, while for group insurance policies, it is now possible to present an insurance certificate to the competent department of the Public Administration Authority.

Specifically, it applies:
- 20% ENFIA reduction for residences with a taxable value of up to 500,000 euros, provided they are insured for one (1) year against earthquake, fire and flood.

- 10% ENFIA reduction for residences with a taxable value of over 500,000 euros, under the same insurance conditions.
- Proportional reduction of ENFIA, in cases of insurance of less than one (1) year and a minimum insurance duration of three months.

The procedure for granting the ENFIA reduction is determined as follows:

1. Insurance companies sent to the Hellenic Insurance Authority, by 10/1, the details of home insurance policies that cover earthquake, fire and flood risks and were in force within 2025.

2. Taxpayers submit applications for the reduction of ENFIA, as well as any amendments or corrections, by 16/2.

3. Insurance companies confirm the data by 2/28.

4. The AADE verifies that the conditions for granting the ENFIA reduction are met, which is granted to the beneficiaries with the first tax assessment, which is usually issued by mid-March.
