As summer approaches, thousands of parents are anxiously awaiting developments surrounding the NSRF program for kindergartens through EETAA for the school year 2025–2026 . The program provides free access to public and private kindergartens for preschool children, supporting thousands of families every year.

In this article you will find everything you need to know about applications, income and social criteria, as well as important dates.

🗓 When do applications start?

The start of electronic submission of applications is expected at the end of June 2025. Interested parties should visit the EETAA website and complete the application as the child's legal representatives .

⚠️ Attention : It is necessary that the 2024 tax return has been cleared in order for the application to be accepted.

💸 Increased budget for 2025–2026

The program's budget for the new school year has been significantly increased , which allows for the coverage of more families compared to previous years.

The expansion of beneficiaries and the improvement of income limits are expected to give even more children the opportunity to join daycare centers without financial burden.

👩👧 Who can apply?

Beneficiaries of the program are :

Working women (in any form of work)
Self-employed
Unemployed women with an active unemployment card

📊 Income Criteria

Income limits vary depending on the number of children and the type of structure:

🔹 For complete coverage of all structures:

Families with 2 children: up to €27,000
With 3 children: up to €30,000
With 4 children: up to €33,000
With 5+ children: up to €36,000

🔹 For Type A & B Structures (such as kindergartens):

Families with 2 children: up to €33,000
With 3 children: up to €36,000
With 4 children: up to €39,000
With 5+ children: up to €42,000

📌 In case of disability of more than 67% (of a parent or child), a voucher is provided regardless of income.

🧾 Scoring & Social Criteria

The selection of beneficiaries is done through points allocation , taking into account:

Family income
Parents' employment status
Marital status

Extra points are awarded for :

Disability (of parent or child) over 35%: +50 points
Single-parent, three-child and large families: +50 points (from 40 points last year)
Unemployed or disabled other parent: +30 points
