🚗 Vehicle Cross-Checks – Find out if it applies to you before a fine is issued!

OR AADE and the Ministry of Transport they started their vehicle cross-checks to be identified:

• Vehicles without insurance
• Vehicles with unpaid road tax
• Vehicles without MOT
• Vehicles that appear to are moving while declared stationary

The checks are done electronically and automatically by cross-checking the databases of the Public Administration Authority, the Ministry, insurance companies and the MOT.

➡️ If a violation is detected, a fine or notice is sent via TAXISnet or mail.

⚠️ Fines provided for:

Infringement	Fine
Uninsured vehicle	€250 – €1,000
Without MOT	€400
Unpaid road taxes	Equal to the unpaid fees
Illegal lifting of immobility	Up to €10,000 (or €30,000 in case of recurrence)

The crossings are carried out twice a year and, in case of non-compliance, it is provided repeat check and doubling of fines .
